Up for auction is a brand-new copy of the 13-song "Influence Vol. 1, The Man I Am" by Randy Travis. The multi-platinum and seven-time Grammy winner released his 21st studio album Oct. 1, 2013, on Warner Bros. Records. Travis and his music has been a major influence to other country artists throughout his celebrated career thus far. In his new album, Influence Vol. 1: The Man I Am, Travis looks back at some of the songs and artists that have influenced him.

 

Still recovering from heart failure and a stroke suffered in July, Travis recorded the tracks for "Influence Vol. 1: The Man I Am" before falling ill. The covers album honors some of Travis' musical heroes such as Lefty Frizzell, Merle Haggard and George Jones and also features a duet with Joe Nichols on "Tonight I'm Playing Possum," a tribute to Jones.  Says Travis: "When I think of my musical heroes of yesteryear or the younger stars of this year, I am reminded that it is true we learn from the ones ahead of us and teach the ones that follow. They are the reason I chose to make this album."
