You are bidding on an autographed copy of "Vagabonds," by Robert Midgett.
Vagabonds is the first book by 16-year-old author Robert Midgett of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, whose family are dear friends of Lisa's. From the Amazon description:
"Five hundred years ago, these pink-hided devils descended to our world and created us from their own flesh and blood. They made us, they taught us, then left us to rule ourselves. So it came as a surprise today when, after keeping their politicians and soldiers here on a "good-will" mission, they decided to rain Hell upon us. I peek out of the window to see human soldiers banded together, kicking in doors and shooting down entire families. Our race could easily be destroyed right now. We have a military force, bordering on the laughable compared to the humans'.Our planet is the size of one of their continents, and most of our supplies come from them, anyway. Why are they attacking us? What did we do to deserve it? We ARE them! We share the same DNA --- We are the same! We speak the same language, have the same nature. Like them, we're greedy and ruthless, vengeful and hateful. We kill our own kind, lie to our people, and steal. We do drugs, and whore ourselves out. We're the same, the humans and us. The only differences are strictly physical . . ."
Thanks for the donation, Robert!

As a songwriter, he returns to familiar themes—politics, heartache, his family legacy—with the down-home pride that’s won him a fervent following over the decades."
On the CD, "Williams pitches into both his former associates at Monday Night Football and the Obama administration in the scathing 'Taking Back the Country,' which includes snippets of Hank Sr.’s iconic vocals. He likewise defends his country’s good name in “We Don’t Apologize for America” and offers a topical working man’s anthem with 'That Ain’t Good.' Beyond the social commentary, numbers like 'I’m Gonna Get Drunk and Play Hank Williams' (a duet with Brad Paisley) and 'I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink' (featuring its composer, Merle Haggard, on vocals) take Williams back to his honky-tonk roots."
In short, “Old School” serves up a nostalgic toast to his fellow country music road warriors. Hank Jr. stays true to himself in this ornery, uncompromising set.--iTunes

Up for auction is a Lizzie Sider three-pack, which features an authographed photo, autographed copy of her debut EP and an autographed concert T-shirt (size Medium/100 percent cotton) from the country newcomer, who was named one of Examiner.com’s Top-5 Female Country Newcomers of 2014.
Lizzie sent this directly to Lisa, and it would make a great gift for music collectors who want to secure memorabilia of a hot newcomer who’s gaining critical acclaim via her original music with a mission.
Fresh-faced Lizzie Sider has captured the national spotlight with her impassioned anti-bullying campaign, dubbed "Nobody Has the Right to Ruin Your Day," and a multi-city school tour, where she connects with kids, tweens and teens via her music and message.
To date, the 15-year-old Sider's shared her no-bullying message with 70,000-plus students. And as a spokeswoman for PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, she's uniquely qualified for her mission, since she was teased and ridiculed during her elementary school years.
During these presentations, the singer/songwriter tells her story, counsels that "nobody has the power to ruin your day" and asks kids to work together to prevent the tragedy that is bullying. The rising star ends each 30- to 40-minute appearance with a performance of her Top-40 country song/video, "Butterfly," a song about her experiences that she wrote with Jamie O'Neal, and distributes bullying-awareness bracelets.
"Bullying doesn't just happen in October during Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, it happens all year," Sider shared in an email. "As someone who understands what it is like to be bullied, I am on a mission to help anyone who doesn't think anyone will listen."
The universal appeal of Sider's music and the impact of her message have brought the media spotlight to bear on this engaging entertainer and made her "one to watch" 2014. Her burgeoning popularity has resulted in recent appearances on the "Queen Latifah" talk show, "The Daily Buzz Emotional MOJO" segment, Fox 35 Orlando and a feature in Country Weekly magazine, among other media exposure.
To sample Sider's music, who's earned her spot on Examiner's "Top 5 Female Country Newcomers" in 2014, please visit her YouTube page. And to follow her on social media, simply access her Facebook or Twitter pages.

Up for auction is a brand-new copy of Aaron Lewis' critically acclaimed "The Road" CD. After spending much of 2011 touring with his Staind lineup, Lewis returned to the studio to create a full-length follow-up to his country EP, "Town Line." Like that 2011 EP, "The Road" is a modern-country album celebrating Lewis' redneck roots, highlighted by "Grandaddy's Gun," "Party in Hell" and the hit singles "Endless Summer" and "Forever."
Released on Blaster Records, the 10-song album has received critical acclaim, with Rick Florino of Artistdirect rating the album five out of five stars. He praised Lewis' performance, saying "he's a vivid storyteller and brilliant lyricist." Daryl Addison of Great American Country reported that "on 'The Road,' Aaron creates a work that honors country tradition while injecting his own soul and experience." And Dan MacIntosh of Roughstock.com rated the album four stars, saying, "it sounds like an honest to goodness country album, start to finish."

Up for auction is a pack of the following four (4) CDs by legendary Denton band Brave Combo:
Trying to describe Brave Combo’s music requires a pretty extensive vocabulary – at least when it comes to musical styles. For the past three decades the Denton, Texas based quintet has perfected a world music mix that includes salsa, meringue, rock, cumbia, conjunto, polka, zydeco, classical, cha cha, the blues and more. They are America’s Premier Dance band and a rollicking, rocking, rhythmic global journey -- offering what one critic recently wrote, “Even if you come for the party, you'll leave with something of a musical education.”
Brave Combo’s catalog of recordings range from Japanese pop to Latin American dance tunes, to the orchestral classics to rock and roll at its finest. The band has recorded with the late Tiny Tim, and were the band Talking Head’s David Byrne chose for his wedding reception. From festivals and fairs of all varieties across the globe, rock clubs big and small, colleges, roadhouses, dances, cultural centers (including the annual Midsummer Night's Swing at Lincoln Center in New York City) Brave Combo has charmed countless listeners and won avid devotees. The band has won two Grammy Awards and been nominated for their work 7 times.
Brave Combo's vivid music can be heard in the films David Byrne's True Stories, Clive Barker's Lord of Illusions, Late Bloomers, Fools Rush In, Envy, The Academy award winning The Personals. They appeared at Oktoberfest in the beloved American burg of Springfield on an episode of "The Simpsons" and in 2008 Brave Combo provided the musical score for PBS’s first ever animated series, “As the Wrench Turns” which resulted in an "Annie" nomination from the International Animated Film Society. Their music has also been featured on ABC’s hit series “Ugly Betty”, and Fox Television's "Bakersfield P.D." They have also contributed original music for ESPN and The Big Ten network.
Keyboardist, guitarist, accordionist, and singer Carl Finch founded the band in 1979, releasing their first records on the band's own Four Dots Records. Alongside Finch for most of Brave Combo's 30 years has been multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Barnes, who joined in 1983. Barnes is known for his lively and imaginative stage wear, as well as playing an array of reeds and woodwinds, harmonica, pennywhistle, guitars, you name it, sometimes in multiple, simultaneous combinations. Rounding out the current line-up are trumpet player Danny O'Brien, drummer Alan Emert and bassist Little Jack Melody.

Up for auction is a brand-new copy of Kenny Rogers' "You Can't Make Old Friends" CD, which serves as the unofficial sequel to 2006's "Water & Bridges." To that end, the centerpiece arrives first thing: a sentimental duet with Dolly Parton on "You Can't Make Old Friends," a song that hazily suggests fond memories of when they sang together on their 30-year-old hit "Islands in the Stream."
Rogers has said he considers this release the most varied and complete album of his lifetime
Says the Country Music Hall of Fame member: "I can honestly say this may be the best album I've ever recorded." He added, "The musical diversity is extraordinary. It goes from songs I would normally sing, to songs I would normally never even listen to. In this business, you do albums to both grow artistically, and for the sheer love of music. We chose what I think are the most diverse and best songs I've ever had access to."

Up for auction is a brand-new copy of hit-maker Lee Brice's 13-song "Hard 2 Love" CD. On the cover of his 2010 debut, "Love Like Crazy," Lee Brice looked a little bit like an everyday bro in his T-shirt and backward baseball cap, but on its sequel, "Hard 2 Love," he cuts a slightly more sophisticated figure in a newsboy cap and pea jacket. As it turns out, the sartorial shift is a visualization of the change in his sound.
Despite some generic titles -- the best of which is "Beer" -- Brice doesn't play things quite by the books, expanding both his emotional and sonic horizons on Hard 2 Love, threading some echoing U2 guitar into "That's When You Know It's Over," letting his sensitive side take over when he's regarding either his girl or his friends. Brice covers an Eric Church song called "Life Off My Years" and throughout the album he displays a certain debt to the highly regarded Church, building upon his savvy wordplay, humor, and relaxed masculinity.
But Brice is a smoother, poppier singer than Church, comfortable with the glossy setting of Hard 2 Love but also giving it some considerable warmth. Perhaps the album could use a song that grabbed you by the throat but it's sturdy and quietly persuasive, its strengths sounding clearer and bolder with each listen. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine Photographer: Eric Welch. Billboard (p.32) - "There's a richness to his voice that comes across well in power ballads. ... Suffice to say, Brice is gearing up for many more trips to the top with music this good."

Up for auction is a brand-new copy of the Oak Ridge Boys' "Boys Night Out" album. After a five-decade career topping the country, gospel and pop charts on regular occasions, and selling some 41 million albums, it's a bit surprising to realize that 2014's Boys Night Out is the first-ever live album from the Oak Ridge Boys.
Featuring the group's big hits "Bobbie Sue," "You're the One," "American Made," "Elvira" and more, the album was drawn from several concerts the Boys did in 2013, and shows that they're singing and performing as well as ever.

Up for auction is a brand-new copy of the 13-song "Influence Vol. 1, The Man I Am" by Randy Travis. The multi-platinum and seven-time Grammy winner released his 21st studio album Oct. 1, 2013, on Warner Bros. Records. Travis and his music has been a major influence to other country artists throughout his celebrated career thus far. In his new album, Influence Vol. 1: The Man I Am, Travis looks back at some of the songs and artists that have influenced him.
Still recovering from heart failure and a stroke suffered in July, Travis recorded the tracks for "Influence Vol. 1: The Man I Am" before falling ill. The covers album honors some of Travis' musical heroes such as Lefty Frizzell, Merle Haggard and George Jones and also features a duet with Joe Nichols on "Tonight I'm Playing Possum," a tribute to Jones. Says Travis: "When I think of my musical heroes of yesteryear or the younger stars of this year, I am reminded that it is true we learn from the ones ahead of us and teach the ones that follow. They are the reason I chose to make this album."
